Pre Production Submission

Recently i have been focusing on creating my Pre Production folder in time for the deadline. This folder will help me to be organised for when i start shooting my documentary next year and it will include the following:

• Title Page
• Contents Page
• Ideas Generation
• Idea Development (blog, budget, title of project, audience, lighting considerations)
• Inspiration
• Email exchanged with chosen subject
• Production/Shooting Schedule
• Interview Planning
• Location Shooting
• Documentary Structure

Location Shooting

I have taken some location shoots to show where i will be doing my documentary. There are different areas within the hospital where i can take photos of different animals.

Research

I have researched into Susan Young, David Lloyd, Bruno D'Amicis and Guy Edwardes. I have wrote about their style of work, what i like about it and whether it will influence my own work.

Project To Go Ahead

Staff at the Wildlife Hospital have kindly contacted the owner for me and she has allowed me to conduct an interview and she is to accompany me while i take photographs. At this stage i am still currently doing research to gain inspiration and ideas of composition of my own photographs and what i feel i need and what i don't need.

Project Hold Up

I have received another email from a different member of staff at the Wildlife Hospital saying that the owner has not been informed about my project therefore i am not able to progress with it until i have spoken to the owner. I will contact the owner and hope that it is still possible to do my documentary at the hospital.

Documentary Subject

I have received a reply from Weirfield Wildlife Hospital and they have agreed to let me do my documentary project there. Now i need to start research into my subject area and begin preparation for my own work.

Ideas Generation

I have created an Ideas Generation page for my production folder and after consideration i have decided to focus on the Wildlife Hospital. I actually volunteer here on Fridays so i already know the hospital layout and the type of processed they go through with looking after the wildlife. I thought it would be a good subject to document because there are many areas of the hospital to explore, and i can find out about the type of wildlife they have, reasons why the animals come in, what they do to help the animals etc. I have contacted Weirfield Wildlife Hospital by email so just waiting on a reply.
